From the famous South-side Parade to the Chicago River being dyed green, St. Patrick’s Day is a great tradition in the City of Chicago. Since 1962 the City has dyed the river for every St. Patrick’s Day celebration as this brings locals and tourists alike for a day of parades, bagpipes, corned beef and of course your staple green beer!

With all the festivities it is no surprise that St. Patrick’s Day is also one of the most dangerous days to be on the road driving. Auto rates are on the rise in the state of Illinois and it is important to caution everyone to be safe while partaking in the festivities and to practice caution when it comes to getting behind the wheel.

Stay safe and Sláinte!
